Local Beaches
There are many beaches in the Vancouver area with long summer days, warm and sunny, perfect for hanging out at the beach.
The Vancouver Lower Mainland has more than a dozen great beaches. Stanley Park's Second Beach and Kitsilano Beach have huge, heated swimming pools for you to swim in the ocean or swim in a pool and look out at the ocean.
Open fires are not allowed on any Lower Mainland beaches. However, you can bring a barbecue or hibachi if it is at least 30 inches off the ground, including placing it on a picnic table.
One of the natural amenities which makes this area among the most livable in the world is public access to the waterfront. Our RV park is a mere minutes from the famous White Rock Beach. Waterfront access gives you many opportunities to enjoy nature. Observing the beautiful landscape while cycling or walking, playing in the sand, swimming, windsurfing, sailing or merely sitting peacefully is the best way to while away the day. There are special areas that have been cordoned off for swimming.
Nestled in ocean pockets surrounding the Vancouver Lower Mainland, the beaches promise clean water, sandy shores and spectacular views.
The best sunning and swimming months are June to August. Be prepared for crowds on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays during the summer months as the beaches are popular with locals and visitors alike.
