There aren't many cities in the world that offer Vancouver's combination of big-city lifestyle and outdoor fun in such close proximity. Ski in the morning, sail in the afternoon and still make it back to town in time for a cocktail.

The Lower Mainland is a multicultural mecca; wander the streets and you'll hear a dozen different languages. The city also attracts young professionals and artists from the eastern provinces who come here to enjoy its recreation and laid-back sophistication.

The City of Vancouver supports a wide range of Destination Sites— from more than 200 parks to three different civic theatres — that are interesting places to visit for tourists and residents alike. The Lower Mainland is renown for its lovely Sights; come for a vacation and stay for life.

Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in Canada and perhaps the world. Filled with trees and huge parklands, Vancouver is home to some of Canada 's best kept Beaches overlooked by high-rise office buildings and apartment complexes.
